Visitng Casa Battalo and Dinner with a Barcelona Attorney

Friday April 4th
As I've commented before, Antonio Gaudi had a huge impact on this city. Another of his masterpieces is the Casa Batllo, which we scheduled to see late in the afternoon. (Again Raul ordered the tickets online for us!)  The wealthy Batllo family had wanted to tear it down, but he convinced them not to, so he designed a very interesting home for them! They now allow visitors to cover some of the maintenance costs. An audio-guide came with the entrance, so we got lots of details.

We walked around the roof to see the amazing details!

And just around the corner, we had been invited to have dinner with Feliz, a Barcelona native and fifth generation attorney. He sounded somewhat sad that he is the last with the law legacy, as none of his three children have gone into law. He is an interesting couch surfer, and I thought Peter might enjoy meeting him. He cooked us a tasty dinner of sea bass. He lives right next door to La Pedrera, another Gaudi masterpiece.

That is the roof of La Pedrera behind us.
